Service Manager - Children's Social Care
£46,612 - £50,135 plus £5,000 market supplement
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for the right candidate; we are seeking a Service Manager to join our Children’s Social Care management team, working across the full breadth of Children Social Care, including our front door, Assessment and Intervention, Permanency and Protection Team and our Fostering, Adoption and Care Leaver Team.
The Children’s Social Care team in Rutland are very proud of the work they undertake and proud of the services they deliver to children and their families. We want the best for our children and families and as we continue to improve and develop the Service Manager role will support us to further embed good practice.
We base our practice on the Signs of Safety and Relationship Model and we are looking for someone to join our team to take our service and practice to another level, further shaping children’s social work at Rutland.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career further. The breadth of social work practice and teams are one element, alongside considerable opportunities to work regionally on a number of projects and influence others - locally, regionally and nationally.

We need a skilled manager who can support across all aspects of social work practice – you’ll need to be robust, support innovative thinking and creative solutions. Our size enables us to work collaboratively with each other and with partners in a manner which supports good outcomes.
You will need to have a professional social work qualification and be HCPC registered, with experience of managing complex and challenging social work teams (albeit this does not have to be at Tier 3).
