We get closer to service users. Our social workers see cases through from referral to resolution, and look to strong, experienced leaders to enable them to provide the right support for the individuals they work with. Ensuring that the teams are close to key decisions, our managers lead strategy, policy and operations and orchestrate partners to deliver services. All with the support of an open, encouraging management team and a Business Intelligence Manager working across the directorate to ensure the right information is available to enable managers to make the right decisions regarding their services. We may be England’s smallest council, but as the Rutland motto goes: ‘multum in parvo’. We deliver much in little.

We are looking for a particular mindset in those joining our leadership team: solution-focused and highly motivated by the challenge of carrying a complex portfolio of both strategic and operational responsibilities.”
